Head of Amazon Games Studio Steps Down
According to a report from Bloomberg, Amazon Games studio head Mike Frazzini is stepping down from his role to focus on family. He has helped lead Amazon game division since 2009 and played a role in building the company’s game studio.
Frazzini cited a longstanding desire to take a mid-career break as his impetus for deciding on a post on LinkedIn.
“And while there’s never really a perfect time to step away from a great role, now is a good time. We’ve launched two top 10 games in the past six months, and have a growing portfolio of promising new games in the pipeline.”

In the past, Frazzini has taken the position of Amazon executive director of author services, and in 2009 he headed the company’s fledgling video game division.
“Mike was there at the beginning of Amazon Games, and his leadership and perseverance helped build the games business from the ground up. Our recent successes with New World and Lost Ark are the result of the long-term, customer-focused vision for games he helped establish. We are very grateful for all his contributions, and wish Mike the very best.”
