Refining Armor Sets Guide (Updated Up To Patch 1.3.4)

Most MMORPG players are familiar with systems where you have to choose which profession you are going to learn. In New World, you can learn every Trading Skill without any restrictions, and it is one of the most fascinating sides of the game.

All Trading Skills in New World are divided into Crafting, Refining and Gathering. There is a set of special armor for every Trading Skill. Every part of the Refining set gives you +2% yield, which means +10% extra items can be obtained wearing a full set.

This is how tier V items such as Asmodeum, Runic Leather, Phoenixweave, and Glittering Ebony will have a max 10% chance for extra materials. As of patch 1.1, Runestone can no longer gain any extra item chance.

Smelter’s Equip

Smelter’s set consists of:

Smelter’s Headgear, Smelter’s Smock, Smelter’s Mitts, Smelter’s Pants, and Smelter’s Shoes and can be received from the Package of Specialized Smelting Materials as of 1.4 patch.

Stonecutter’s Equip

Stonecutter’s set consists of: 

• Stonecutter’s Hat (looted from Elite Ancient Chests in Opulence, Myrkguard, Shattered Mountain; dropped by Myrkgard Spearman, Myrkgard Acolyte, Archmagister Vocus);
• Stonecutter’s Shirt (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs and bosses in Nihilo Visage, Great Cleave); 
• Stonecutter’s Pants (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs and bosses – Borvarn, Erlander, Shrine Master Yang in North Palace Shrine, Dynasty Landing, Ebonscale Reach);
• Stonecutter’s Gloves (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs in Upper Harrow, Shattered Mountain);
• Stonecutter’s Shoes (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs and bosses in Scorched Mines, Ambusti Superior, Shattered Mountain).

Tanner’s Equip

Tanner’s set can be Tier 3 and Tier 5 (only visual difference) and consists of: 

• Tanner Hat (Tier 3 is dropped by mobs in zones level 19-58; Tier 5 is looted from Elite Ancient Chests in Malevolence, Edengrove, and dropped by mobs in zones level 59+);
• Tanner Shirt (Tier 3 is dropped by mobs in zones level 19-58; Tier 5 is dropped by mobs in zones level 59+); 
• Tanner Pants (Tier 3 is dropped by mobs in zones level 19-58; Tier 5 is looted from Elite Ancient Chests in Old Myrkgard Forest, Shattered Mountain and dropped by mobs in zones level 59+);
• Tanner Gloves (Tier 3 is dropped by mobs in zones level 19-58; Tier 5 is looted from Elite Ancient Chests in Stranglepitch Road, Great Cleave and dropped by mobs in zones level 59+);
• Tanner Shoes (Tier 3 is dropped by mobs in zones level 19-58; Tier 5 is looted from Elite Ancient Chests in Stranglepitch Road, Great Cleave and dropped by mobs in zones level 59+).

Woodworker’s Equip

Woodworker’s set consists of: 

• Woodworker’s Hat (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs and boss – Mozrul the Herald in Balebane Maw, Great Cleave);
• Woodworker’s Shirt (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs and bosses – Overseer Levy, Caminus Gate Lord in Caminus, Shattered Mountain); 
• Woodworker’s Pants (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs in the Tangle, Shattered Mountain);
• Woodworker’s Gloves (dropped by Borvarn, North Palace Shrine, Dynasty Landing, Ebonscale Reach);
• Woodworker’s Shoes (dropped by Daisy the Dancing Bear, Imperial Palace, Dynasty Landing, Ebonscale Reach).

Weaver’s Equip

Weaver’s set consists of: 

• Weaver’s Hat (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs in Greater Tribulation, Shattered Mountain);
• Weaver’s Shirt (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs in Old Myrkgard Forest, Shattered Mountain); 
• Weaver’s Pants (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from mobs and bosses – The Siren’s Guide, The Siren’s Gun, The Siren’s Fist in Forecastle Drift, Reekwater);
• Weaver’s Gloves (looted from Elite Ancient Chests and dropped from Scorchvein Supply Guard, Corrupted Rifleman in Scorched Mines, Ambusti Inferior, Shattered Mountain);

Weaver’s Shoes (dropped from Erlander, North Palace Shrine, Dynasty Landing, Ebonscale Reach).
